Pricing FAQ
- What counts as a "capture"?
- A capture is a single artifact we deliver to you with its forensic sidecar. A 5-image carousel is one capture (the bundle counts as one). A bulk profile archival is one capture regardless of how many posts are inside.
- Is there a rate limit on the free tier?
- Not yet — during MVP, free captures are unlimited. We'll add a fair-use limit (likely 1 capture every few minutes) once usage warrants it; existing free users will get notice before any limit takes effect.
- What's the difference between monthly and annual?
- Annual plans bill once per year and save you 20% versus paying monthly. The features are identical. Cancel anytime; if you cancel mid-year you keep access until the end of the period.
- Can I really pick just the features I want?
- Yes. The à la carte builder above lets you compose a plan from individual features. Unlimited single-artifact captures is the base ($4/mo); everything else is opt-in. If your custom mix costs more than Pro, we'll suggest Pro instead.
- Do you retain the artifacts I capture?
- Today, no — every capture streams through the worker straight to your browser, and nothing is persisted server-side. The audit-logged case archive (30 days on Pro, 90 days on Studio) is in development. When it ships, you'll be opted-in by default on paid plans and can opt out per-capture if you want a stream-through behaviour. We never analyse, derive from, or share captured content regardless of plan.
- Is the field-capture extension included in the free plan?
- Yes. The Chrome field-capture extension is free for everyone regardless of plan. It works without a socials.download account.
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes, within 7 days of purchase, provided the account is unused (zero captures processed against the paid plan). Email contact@socials.download with your account email and we'll process it.
