Platform status

Supported platforms and media types

10 platforms work in the browser today, with no account and no extension. This table is generated from the same data the downloader itself uses, so it can't drift from what actually runs.

Platform support can change when source platforms update their websites or delivery systems. A dash means we haven’t published a verification date for that platform yet.

Known limitations

  • Instagram: Profile previews return up to 18 recent posts. Downloading a single post link returns the first asset; use the profile view to save every image in a carousel. Private accounts are not supported.
  • TikTok: Profile previews return up to 18 recent posts. Stories only exist while the account has one active; they expire after 24 hours. Livestream recording is not available. Private accounts are not supported.
  • VSCO: Videos are converted from VSCO's streaming format into a single MP4, so the file is rebuilt rather than copied byte-for-byte. Private profiles are not supported.
  • Reddit: Reddit serves video and audio as separate streams. The video file is delivered without the audio track merged in. Gallery posts return the first image only. Private and quarantined communities are not supported.
  • X (Twitter): Media is taken from the linked post itself, not from replies or quoted posts. Protected accounts are not supported.
  • Pinterest: Individual public Pins only. Whole boards are not supported. Secret boards are not supported.
  • Threads: Public Threads posts only. Private profiles are not supported.
  • Tumblr: Streaming-format (HLS) videos are not supported. Mature-content-flagged and password-protected blogs are not supported.
  • Bluesky: One media item per post link. Deleted posts cannot be recovered.
  • Vimeo: Only public videos that Vimeo serves as a direct file. Streaming-only videos are not supported. Private, password-protected, paywalled, and DRM-protected videos are not supported.

Not available

These are worth being explicit about, because the site used to imply otherwise:

  • Instagram Stories — not available in the web app.
  • TikTok livestream recording — not available.
  • Browser extension — not publicly released, so nothing here depends on having it.
  • Private content — private accounts, paywalls, login walls, and DRM are out of scope on every platform. We don’t bypass them.

Not supported yet

Facebook, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Mastodon, Twitch, Bilibili, Rumble, Substack.
