The socials.download Reddit downloader saves supported public Reddit videos, images, and GIFs directly to your device. Paste a public Reddit post link and download the available file without creating a socials.download account. Videos are saved from Reddit's own packaged renditions, so the file arrives as a single MP4 with its audio already in it, at the highest resolution Reddit publishes.

Limitations
- Gallery posts return the first image only.
- Private and quarantined communities are not supported.
- A Reddit share link (the /s/ kind the app copies) can't always be resolved from our servers. If one fails, open it in Reddit and paste the full post link instead — the one with /comments/ in it.
Troubleshooting
- The downloaded video has no sound.
- This used to be the big one for Reddit and no longer is. Videos now come from Reddit's packaged renditions, which already contain the audio, so the file plays with sound as-is.
- A gallery post only gave me one image.
- Gallery posts return the first image only.
- Nothing resolves.
- Private, quarantined, and removed communities are not reachable.
Mobile and desktop
On desktop the file downloads straight to your downloads folder. On a phone, saving opens your device’s native share sheet so you can put the file in Photos or Files. Either way there’s no app to install and no socials.download account.
File quality and watermarks
socials.download does not add a watermark of its own and does not intentionally transcode or recompress the file returned by the source endpoint. Whether the file already carries Reddit or creator branding depends on the media Reddit serves.
Copyright and authorization
Download only content you own, have permission to save, or are otherwise legally entitled to use. socials.download does not bypass private accounts, paywalls, login walls, or DRM.
