Download public VSCO photos and videos
The socials.download VSCO downloader saves supported public VSCO photos and videos directly to your device. Paste a VSCO post, profile, or vs.co share link and download the available file without creating a socials.download account. Both photos and videos work in the browser — no extension is required.
Supported VSCO link formats
- https://vsco.co/<user>/media/<id> — a photo
- https://vsco.co/<user>/video/<id> — a video
- https://vsco.co/<user>/gallery — a profile gallery
- https://vs.co/<code> — a VSCO share link (both the short and parameterised forms)
Paste any of these on the home page.
What works, and what doesn't
- Photos: supported
- Videos: supported
- Profile Preview: supported
- Galleries: supported
- Private Content: not supported
Limitations
- Videos are converted from VSCO's streaming format into a single MP4, so the file is rebuilt rather than copied byte-for-byte.
- Private profiles are not supported.
Troubleshooting
- The video downloaded, but the file isn't identical to VSCO's.
- Expected. VSCO delivers video as an adaptive stream, so we rebuild it into a single MP4. The picture and audio are not re-encoded beyond what that requires, but the container is assembled by us.
- A vs.co link didn't resolve.
- Both vs.co formats are supported. If one fails, open it in a browser once and paste the vsco.co URL it lands on.
Mobile and desktop
On desktop the file downloads straight to your downloads folder. On a phone, saving opens your device’s native share sheet so you can put the file in Photos or Files. Either way there’s no app to install and no socials.download account.
File quality and watermarks
socials.download does not add a watermark of its own and does not intentionally transcode or recompress the file returned by the source endpoint. Whether the file already carries VSCO or creator branding depends on the media VSCO serves.
Copyright and authorization
Download only content you own, have permission to save, or are otherwise legally entitled to use. socials.download does not bypass private accounts, paywalls, login walls, or DRM.
